When Christmas comes around people around the world always think of what we want, that’s perfectly fine but what if you don’t get the thing that you wanted? Would you react a different way if it was a gift from your mom that she took time on. And others can’t afford gifts that are too much, but some people don’t seem to understand that if your parents give you something even if it’s something you didn’t want, show appreciation to what people do for you especially if it’s someone who you love.
When you show that you appreciate what they’ve done for you it starts to make you see why the big things are no way near compared to heartfelt gifts from someone who means a lot to you. I used to always want something that was expensive and it was just always a lot for maybe the people that we’re buying it for me. But I started to realize when I got older because I was starting to buy my cousin’s gifts. I saw how they would react but I tried to give them something different, but they are also kids so I understand why they might feel as if I’m mean or wrong for not getting them what they want but once people start to grow up they understand the real meaning behind a gift. As we mature, we start to realize that heartfelt gifts are very much more valuable than an expensive and useless gifts that are trendy. The gifts I receive I’m always grateful for no matter what. In the early stages when I would get something I didn’t want I still showed appreciation to the gift and enjoyed the gift like it was something I always wanted. Being grateful can get you more than what you expect in the future.
