A trending debate on man vs. dog has taken the internet by storm. Social media users are questioning in a one on one fight to the death, who will win, man vs dog? Some are taking the side of man, and some are taking the side of the dog.
Now, let’s go over the pros and cons of each side. Starting with the man, humans are naturally smarter and more dominant than most dogs, key word, most. Though some dogs, like a toy poodle, wouldn’t put up a fight at all, other dogs, like a cane corso, would put up much more of a fight. Humans have the advantage of technology, combat IQ, and skill. Depending on the size and the fighting experience of the man, you could even say strength.
One major con is that some men aren’t physically strong enough to take on a dog like a cane corso in a fight; some men are out of shape and weak. However, the pros of dogs are that their bite force can be very deadly, they are fast, and some breeds are even intelligent. Another pro is that dogs can be heavy, weighing up to at least 300 pounds, given the breed of the dog. Another con is that they can be very sensitive, meaning if you break one of the dog’s four limbs, it’s pretty much out of the fight, the reason being that dogs need all four of their limbs to function properly. Additionally, dogs only have one way to attack, that being their mouth, giving them a very big disadvantage. I think, if my life and my entire bloodline depended on it, I would win a fight against any dog in a one on one, no weapons, just hands. According to Wag Walking, a website dedicated to providing information about dog breeds, it claims, the strongest breed of dogs, known as the kangal, has a bite force of 743 pounds per square inch, which is very powerful, but given how much more dominant a man could be, the dog would not win in the end whereas humans only have a bite around 150 psi. Now, I’m not saying it wouldn’t be a close fight; it most definitely will be, but humans are a stronger and more intelligent species, so we could outsmart the canines.
“If I had to fight a dog one on one for my life, I’m coming out alive, no way would I let a dog put me in my grave, a dog that I feed on a daily basis. Now, if it’s one of those big and bad dogs like a kangal, which you don’t see every day, then I might have a little trouble, but I would still win,” said Kendall Cox.
I agree with that statement, a fight for our lives, no dog, doesn’t matter the breed, is going to win against me. What do you think? Do you think you can beat a dog in a fight?
