Hindsight is 20/20. It’s easy to wish you had made changes after you look back and reflect. However, what is done is done and you can’t change what happened.
When I was a freshman, I came back to school right after the quarantine, and my work ethic was shot. I didn’t really take school seriously because I felt like there was no point, and I wouldn’t need anything I learned in real life. After my freshman and sophomore years were over, I realized that I had spent the last two years of school wasting my time. My GPA was low, and I had stopped taking honors courses. That was when I realized that everything I do now will affect how I live my life after I graduate. In my junior year, I started taking classes more seriously and developed good study habits, but I had to work extra hard just to get my GPA to average. I also never got involved in anything in school, and I regret it now because there are so many cool clubs and sports you can participate in. I recommend getting involved because you get opportunities to make lots of friends and have a lot of fun. My best advice to any incoming freshman is to take everything seriously and not let your grades slip! But at the same time, don’t let school be the only thing you live for, because then you’ll get burned out. Have a good balance of school and life, and HAVE FUN!!
