New exciting courses are now here at Belleville High School! These courses are opening up new opportunities for students to learn, grow and explore their interests.
Belleville High School has launched several new courses aimed at expanding academic and career options for students. This exciting update will improve learning and better prepare students for college and future careers while exploring subjects that they are passionate about.
There are several new course offerings such as psychology, AP environmental science and forensic science and more! These classes are designed to help students explore their interests and for brand new learning experiences.
The forensic science course, taught by Ms.Harris in room 310, focuses on how science and the law work together. Students will learn how criminal investigations are conducted and the psychology behind criminal behavior and how evidence is analyzed to solve cases. One of the anticipated parts is the final project creating a criminal profile of a serial killer while examining their intentions and how their brain works.
Unlike traditional science classes, forensic science is a social science class. This class helps understand human behavior, the justice system, and how the law handles criminal accusations.
This course is good for students who are interested in criminal justice, science or law. It’s basically the foundation for understanding people’s rights and protection under the law. It also helps students to understand the challenges with our current justice system, while keeping the course hands-on and interesting for students.
