Maddison DeLano, Editor
Hello, my name is Maddison DeLano, and I am a class of 2025 senior at Belleville High School. Outside of the newspaper staff, I also work on the Tiger Drama tech team, where I’ve been Head of Spotlight Operation since my freshman year and during my Junior year I was given the honor of the Set Crew Chief position for our production of Mamma Mia. I’m super into the arts and using them to amplify the voices of others, and so I’m stoked to have the opportunity to do that with Beneath the Stripes for the 2024-2025 school year.

Hey! I’m Boulas. This is my third year guiding the journalists of Beneath the Stripes. This has been an absolute dream come true for me. I love having a platform where students can write about their interests, their concerns, and learn about new topics. I also teach English here at BHS and I’m the Teacher Cadet Coordinator.
If I had to choose a walk-up song, it would be “Float On” by Modest Mouse. Someone once told me that that song reminded them of me and I just loved that. When I’m not at work teaching all of the things, I am with my family, reading, hiking, gardening, or doing some type of craft. I’ve been married for 13 years, I have two children, Audrey and Holden, and I just rescued a dog named Bunny. She is the perfect addition to our family and my other dog Milo absolutely adores her.
